Vehicle
Our modern fleet of air-conditioned vehicles includes specially designed 4WD’s and mini-buses so you can explore the Outback with ease. Toyota Coaster mini-bus - (max 22 seats) or Mitsubishi Rosa mini-bus (max 24 seats) - front facing air-conditioned vehicle. We use our coaches in locations where there are large driving distances on sealed roads as the larger vehicles provide greater comfort. In all other circumstances, we focus on providing a small group experience with an average maximum group size of 16.
Suitability
Our tours are nature-based and designed for those that want to experience the unique scenery, flora, fauna, history and culture of each area. While there are few age restrictions on our tours, they are budget in nature and designed for active, fun-loving people with a reasonable level of fitness who enjoy bushwalking, swimming and the great outdoors! General good health and a positive attitude are essential and we reserve the right not to carry persons that may endanger themselves or others whilst on tour. Maximum Walks: Hikes up to 5kms per day (basic fitness required). A reasonable level of fitness is required as there will be some walking to view places of interest.
What to Bring

Sturdy walking shoes (ankle high), hat & sunscreen, towel & toiletries, swimming gear, warm clothing in winter, water bottle, torch, insect repellent, camera & film, pillow, sleeping bag (can be hired for $15), money for some meals. 15Kg Baggage Limit.

Included Experienced guides, meals as indicated, all camping equipment (hire of sleeping bag possible for $15, swag hire $50), all national park entry fees and GST. 2 nights bush camping (no facilities) 1 night Farm Stay accommodation and other nights on camp grounds with showers and toilets 'If the weather is inclement the guide may suggest to the group to stop in an accommodated premises - in this case it is a free upgrade and does not cost the Pax and additional money.

ITINERARY

Day 1

Our adventure begins as we travel east over the Darling Ranges. After a morning break at historic York we continue our journey south.
Our lunch stop will be at Wave Rock, where there is the opportunity to have a look at this amazing rock formation.
After lunch we drive further south to our camp on the coast in the Fitzgerald River National Park, an internationally recognized world biosphere reserve with plenty of beautiful beaches, rugged coastline and the opportunity for a short walk or swim before dinner. (LD)

Day 2

After a morning drive along the coast we arrive in Esperance with time to have a look around. A short drive brings us to the Cape Le Grand National Park where we set up camp only metres from a picture postcard beach.
The afternoon is free to explore this stunning coastal park with its white sandy beaches and crystal clear water.
A late afternoon hike up the granite formation known as Frenchman Peak rewards you with stunning views of the bay and islands of the Recherche Archipelago. (BLD)

Day 3

It's totally up to you how you would like to spend the morning enjoying this beautiful area. You may like to do one of the magnificent coastal walks or go for a swim, boogie board, snorkel, fish or just relax and read a good book while lying on a pure white beach, you might have to share with a couple of locals, kangaroo's that is.
Mid afternoon we head back north to the Eyre highway to start our journey east bound to a bush camping site. (BLD)

Day 4

Are you ready for some adventurous caving (bring a torch) because today we are going deep beneath the Nullarbor and you can even have a swim in an underground lake. We travel through some diverse Australian country and it will certainly give you a sense of the size of this vast and ancient land.
Please note:- Caving as been stopped for the interim by CALM 'Western Australia's National Parks on account of floods and overall safety. Nullarbor Traveller are looking for another caving alternatives. In the interim the tour includes playing part of the "Nullarbor Golf Links" an 18 hole golf course that starts at Ceduna and ends in Kalgoorlie 'playing golf in the middle of nowhere! (BLD)

Day 5

Besides visiting old Eucla, a telegraph town buried by sand dunes, we see the majestic Nullarbor cliffs and stop at the famous wombat/camel/kangaroo road sign. In season (June 'October) the Southern Right Whales migrate to the Head of the Bight. Up to 100 of these amazing mammals can be seen from the scenic lookouts.
Outside of the whale season you will not be disappointed with the spectacular coastline and viewing platforms that showcase the majestic Nullarbor Cliffs. We drive onto the Nullarbor Plain and across the dingo fence while travelling through Yalata Aboriginal lands.
Later in the afternoon we head for the tiny historical settlement of Fowlers Bay, adjacent to massive sand dunes, where we finish the day with some extreme fun sand boarding. (BLD)

Day 6

We leave Fowlers Bay behind and head further east into South Australia. After a short stop at Ceduna, we drive on to Streaky Bay to pick up lunch provisions, then on to Baird Bay to board the MV Investigator for a 4-5 hr cruise (own cost $100 inc GST).
It's a relaxing day on the boat, viewing and swimming with dolphins and Australian sea lions. A short drive brings us to Murphy's Haystacks, incredible granite rock formations sculptured into wondrous and weird shapes over millions of years. Then we drive on to our night's camp spot 'Coodlie Park a unique farm retreat.
Our hosts Hassie, Jo and family then conduct a nocturnal spotlighting tour looking for Australia's National Emblems 'Kangaroos, Wombats and Emus. (BLD)

Day 7

Travelling down to Talia Caves, explore the Wool Shed and The Tub before heading off to Elliston's Great Ocean Tourist Drive with stunning sculptures which contrast against the Investigator group of Islands in the back ground.
Travel to Locks Well and admire the view and the man made 291 steps down to the Locks Well beach. A short Visit to Sheringa beach before travelling on through an old settlement called Nowhere Else, before settling into our last overnight camp. (BLD)

Day 8

Travel on to Adelaide passing Cowell, Whyalla and Pt Augusta and through the eastern side of the Flinders Ranges and Horrick's Pass before enjoying our last awesome bush walk at Alligator Gorge.
As we travel through the picturesque Clare Valley which gives you a chance to reflect on the experiences over the last eight action packed days as we head for South Australia's capital city Adelaide. (BL)
