ITINERARY:
Day 1 -
Cairns to Cape Tribulation
Experience one of Australia's most scenic coastal drives along
the Captain Cook Highway. Visit the unique animal sanctuary
'Wildlife Habitat' in Port Douglas and see the endangered
Cassowary and a myriad of other wildlife, including Koalas
and Crocodiles. A guided walk provides you with the opportunity
to learn more about the unique wildlife. Enjoy free time meandering
through the different exhibits: rainforest, wetlands and grassland
or purchase 'Breakfast with the Birds' (Approx $13 at own
expense). Take a guided rainforest walk up to the suspension
bridge at Mossman Gorge in the World Heritage Daintree National
Park with the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear Mossman
Gorge (weather permitting). Look out for local wildlife including
water birds and Estuarine Crocodiles on a 1 hour Daintree
River Cruise. You will have free time to enjoy the iconic
Cape Tribulation Beach or join the guide for a walk through
this unique beach side ecosystem before being dropped off
at your choice of accommodation.
Day 2 -
Cape Tribulation to Cairns
Enjoy a free day to relax on the beach or soak up the up the
wonderful atmosphere with a walk in the oldest continuously
growing tropical rainforest on earth. There are many optional
activities available (at own expense) such as half day Horse
Riding, Jungle Surfing, Sea Kayaking, Mountain Biking or Yoga.
Return transfer to Cairns departs at 4.30pm (or as advised
by your guide).
