Day 1. World
Heritage-listed Kakadu National
Park, Yellow Water Billabong,
Nourlangie Rock.
Depart
Darwin and venture into the vast and diverse landscape of
Kakadu National Park.
Stop to visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural
Centre to learn a little about the park, its
history, flora, fauna and ancient culture.
Continue to Kakadus most famous wetland area,
Yellow Water billabong for your guided cruise.
As you cruise the tranquil waters in this
picturesque setting your guide will provide
details on the regions history, ecology and
diverse flora and fauna. Keep watch for crocodiles
and the famous Kakadu birds. Together with
its sizeable crocodile population, Kakadu
National Park
is home to one-third of all Australian bird
species, as well as one-third of all Top End
plant life. Following lunch, travel to Nourlangie
Rock to view galleries of ancient Aboriginal
x-ray style artwork. As is evident from all
the rock paintings, this has always been an
area of great spiritual significance to local
Aboriginal people.

Day 2. Jim
Jim Falls, Twin
Falls.
Travel
by 4WD drive to the edge of the Arnhem Land
escarpment and beautiful Jim Jim Falls, one
of the largest waterfalls in the park. Take
a bushwalk through the monsoonal rainforest
surrounded by towering cliffs. Continue along
the winding sand track to Twin Falls Gorge
where there is time to explore this remote
region. (L)
Day 3. Ubirr
Art Site, East Alligator River
Cruise, Darwin.
Travel
by 4WD to Ubirr to explore the galleries of
ancient Aboriginal artwork. Join an Aboriginal
guide on the Guluyambi Cruise along the East
Alligator River.
With special permission, take a short walk
into Arnhem Land. En
route to Darwin,
stop at Window on the Wetlands to enjoy a
complimentary glass of wine while admiring
views over the floodplains. Arrive in Darwin around 8.00 p.m. (L)
