Our first adventure
is a a crocodile-spotting cruise.
Keep eyes peeled, and cameras ready, to spy
one of these magnificent creatures patrolling
the waters. After lunch head to Ubirr
Rock where we see classic examples
of Aboriginal rock art and spectacular 360
degree views straight out of Crocodile Dundee!Fall
asleep tonight to the sounds of an ancient
land.

2 Kakadu National Park/Katherine
After breakfast, head out to explore more
of Kakadu. Cool off with a swim in crocodile-free
waters, and be sure to soak up the spectacular
sandstone country while there. After lunch
travel south out of the park into the historic
mining area of Pine Creek.
On the way we may stop for a refreshing dip
in Edith Falls.
Settle
in for the night at a campsite at the historic
Springvale Homestead near the remote town
of Katherine.

3 Katherine Gorge/Mt Bundy Station
Take a cruise along the waters of Katherine
Gorge or explore under your own steam, by
paddling a canoe. The gorge, formed
by the Katherine River flowing from Arnhem
Land to the Timor Sea, is breathtaking. Heading
north again, camping for the night
at remote Mt Bundy station on the banks of
the Adelaide River.

FURTHER
INFORMATION
No need to click mutilple links we have placed
the majority of this tours details on this
page.
Short Break
Short
Breaks are the ideal add on to a longer adventure,
or just a short break in an amazing destination.
With a duration of 2-5 days these trips range
from relaxing beach breaks, to excursions
with a local guide or a short but sweet group
adventure. With guaranteed frequent departures,
group size will vary from the single traveller
to an average size of 12. Also guaranteed
is the opportunity for the type of real life
experience that makes travel so rewarding.
Original
Original trips are classic Intrepid Connections
adventures. With a mix of included activities
and free time they offer plenty of opportunity
to explore at your own pace and join in activities
that really get beneath the skin of a destination.
While the occasional meal may be included,
you'll have the freedom to seek out your own
culinary adventures. Accommodation is generally
budget or tourist-class (2-3 star) but you're
as likely to find yourself as a guest of a
local family as staying in a hotel or camping.
Transport will
vary as well. Depending on the destination
and the itinerary you could find yourself
travelling on anything from a camel to a train
or a private safari vehicle. It's all a part
of the adventure! Original travellers have
a desire to make the most of their travel
time and really get to know a place, its people
and cultures.
Group Size:
Usually a maximum of 24 travellers.
Activities:
Your
time is balanced between free time to explore
at your own pace and included activities that
help you experience things you wouldn't be
able to on your own.
Meals:
Meals are included on some camping trips,
any homestay accommodation we may use and
in some remote areas.
Note:
* Please note that some activities within
Australias national parks are dependent on
weather and the observance of cultural traditions,
therefore itineraries are subject to change.
Luggage:
Luggage Our vehicles have limited space
therefore please keep luggage to a minimum
(i.e a small soft bag). Passengers travelling
on tours that include air transfers need to
observe strict luggage limitations
What to
bring:
Please check with your agent at time of confirmation.
However, for most tours you will need the
following: swimming towel, water bottle, flash
light, toiletries and items of a personal
nature, hat, sturdy walking shoes, sun screen,
camera and film, warm clothing for night time
in winter months and wet weather gear.

a day hiking or biking. It also tells you
how fit you need to be to enjoy it. Physical
ratings range from easy and relaxing; to only for the seriously fit, who are
ready for a full-on active adventure. Choose
a trip for inclusive activities that only
require a moderate level of fitness. Physical
ratings are noted on the itineraries provided.

|
CULTURE
SHOCK RATINGS
The culture
shock rating gives you an idea of the degree
of culture shock you can expect whether
theres any familiar food, health considerations
and how much youll need to adapt to local
customs. Culture ratings range from little or no adjustment required; to expect a real culture shock. On a mid-point,
rated trip you can expect unusual food and some
language barriers but still access to home
comforts. Culture shock ratings are noted

key component to getting more in touch with
