TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance
is compulsory for all Intrepid travellers and
should be taken out at the time of booking. Your
travel insurance must provide cover against personal
accident, death, medical expenses and emergency
repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage
of US$200,000 for each of the heads of cover.
We also strongly recommend it covers cancellation,
curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage
and personal effects. You must provide proof of
your travel insurance on the first day of your
trip; you will not be able to join the trip without
it. If you obtain travel insurance through us
you acknowledge that you are satisfied with the
level of insurance we have arranged.

Intrepid Connections' 2011 Booking Conditions
include a clause that Travel Insurance is compulsory
for all travelers. This clause is in effect to
protect and provide peace of mind for travelers
and all levels of the travel distribution chain
but excludes those nationals of countries where
local law prohibits a compulsory service that
is not included in the tour price. Whilst Travel
Insurance is very strongly recommended for these
nationals, we will not apply this booking clause
in this instance.
For
Australian passengers, they are not required to
be covered for medical expenses as their MediCare
will cover this, however it is strongly recommended
for domestic passengers to hold travel insurance
whilst on tour.
