Day 1: Cairns - Cape York
Meet a representative from Wilderness Challenge
at the Aerotropics Terminal, General Aviation
Terminal at the Cairns Airport, at 7.15am this
morning.
Enjoy spectacular views of the Great Barrier
Reef as we fly to Bamaga. We visit the beautiful
Lockerbie Scrub, an isolated pocket of monsoon
rainforest, on our way to historic Somerset.
This afternoon walk to the very top of Australia,
Cape York!

Day 2: Cape York -“ Fruit Bat Falls
Our 4WD adventure is at its best today as we
travel along the famous Telegraph Track. Later,
cross the mighty Jardine River to Fruit Bat
Falls, where there is time for a refreshing
swim. We camp and dine in the Cape York wilderness
tonight.

Day 3: Iron Range National Park
We continue along the famous Telegraph Track
today, traversing the Wenlock and Pascoe Rivers.
We visit Iron Range National Park, Australia
largest remaining protected area of tropical
lowland rainforest, before setting up camp at
Chili Beach on the shores of the Coral Sea.

Day 4: Archer River
This morning we visit the tiny outpost of Portland
Roads, before exploring the Iron Range National
Park further. We travel through Tozers Gap and
the Batavia gold fields on our way to Archer
River.

Day 5: Musgrave - Lakefield National
Park
Travel this morning to Coen and Musgrave Station,
once a fortress Telegraph Station. Continue
on to Lakefield National Park and explore the
waterlily-covered billabongs, see wildlife and
a great variety of birdlife.

Day 6: Cooktown
We visit the Old Laura Homestead this morning,
then travel along the Battlecamp Road to historic
Cooktown. Enjoy time to explore Cooktown including
spectacular views from Grassy Hill.

Day 7: Bloomfield Track - Cairns
Our day begins with a visit to the eerie Black
Mountain and quaint Lion’s Den Hotel, before
travelling south along the Bloomfield Track
into the rainforests of the Daintree and Cape
Tribulation. We cross the Daintree River and
continue to Cairns, arriving at approximately
5.30pm where you will be transferred to your
