Half Day Darwin Harbour Fishing Charter - 05:30am

Departure from Buzz Cafe in Cullen Bay This magnificent Charter has you boarding from Buzz Cafe in Cullen Bay at 0530 in the morning. Dariwn Harbour is not just the home to many varied species of Fish but it is steeped in History. It has many Historical wecks from World War II and Cylcone Tracey. There are numerous areas of Deep Water as well as natural and man made reefs. Darwin Reef n Wrecks operates Half Day Charters that combine the swing of the tide and our knowledge fo the harbour thus giving you the best opportunity of getting onto a fish. Having a 5 hour charter also gives us the opportunity to venture just outside the harbour if need be. This 5 hour charter is perfect for the family and or tourist as it still gives you the time in the day to enjoy Darwin. You will travel on board Reefmaster a 47ft Randall that boast a full shaded deck, toilet and BBQ Facilities. Target species inside the Harbour are varied dependant on water conditions, tides and the time of year. you can expect to catch Black Jewfish, Golden Snapper, Spanish Flag, Cod, Blue Salmon and varied mixed reef species. Times will depend on the tide as we fish with the tide. As we all know there is never a guarantee on catching fish and if you determined to catch fish then we suggest a full day or extended fishing trip as you will have far more chance of catching larger fish.

Additional Information

Inclement Weather: The Skipper has the final say if a trip is to be rescheduled or cancelled due to Bad Weather. Bookings can be transferred to another day and time or a 100% refund can apply.

Minimum Passenger Numbers: All trips except for a Sole Charter have a minimum passenger requirement of 6 persons. If your journey is rescheduled or cancelled due to this we will endeavour to accommodate you on an alternative trip. Should this not be suitable a 100% refund can apply

You’ll fish for jewfish, snapper, salmon, queenfish, trevally, mackerel and coral trout, which is just a small range of the diversity of species that inhabit the pristine and expansive Territory waters.

Travis and his experienced crew operate two top-of-the-range and well-equipped vessels, the ‘Scubafish’ and ‘Reef Master’. Both vessels have large shaded deck areas and comfortable seating, safety equipment, and are crewed by qualified and attentive fishing guides who’ll assist you from baiting your hook to cleaning your fish. And, upon request, they’ll even arrange to pack your catch up in an airline-approved fish carry box to take home.
