Alice
Springs Balloon Flights has been operating in the Alice
Springs area since April 1992. Our Chief Pilot has over
20 years ballooning experience and over 2000 hours flying
time with an impeccable safety record. We hold all the
necessary Insurance and Civil Aviation Certificates
to operate.
Our passengers are collected in climate
controlled comfortable vehicles one and a half hours
before sunrise from your accommodation house in Alice
Springs.
You
are then driven to the launch site, which is determined
on the morning depending on the wind direction. We have
about 20 different launch sites within a 40km radius
of Alice Springs, and these locations are individually
chosen due to their picturesque and unique settings.

Your
morning begins before dawn when the wind is gentle
and a new day is about to begin. Soaring majestically
over the terrain you will be overcome by the awesome
and vast landscape which stretches out endlessly underneath.
and speed their way on their journeys, gaze up to
the swirling eagles and cruise over the peaks of the
ancient MacDonnell Ranges stretching out like a family
of caterpillars crawling over the heart of Australia.
Wildlife
loves the cool early mornings presenting great photo
opportunities of them and the surrounding countryside.

your flight, toast your morning's experience with a
champagne breakfast chosen to celebrate your Baptempte

Our
breakfast mainly consists of: Freshly made marinated
chicken drumsticks Croissants with ham & cheese
Freshly baked Outback damper, with honey & jam Fresh

and of course champagne!!
Vegetarians
are catered for on request. Passengers recieve their
flight cerificate during breakfast.

freshly baked marinated chicken, fresh croissants with

blueberry muffins and all with an assortment of fresh
juices, tea & coffe , not to forget to toast your
success with a few glasses of fine champagne! Vegetarians

Insurance Fee * Due to the imposition
of mandatory flight insurance by the Australian Government
under the Air carriers Liability Act and the rapidly
increasing and uncertain premiums in the adventure industry,
a separate fee is payable to cover insurance. The fee
is $25.00 per passenger payable by cash or credit card
to the crew on the morning of the flight

Pick up from accommodation in Alice Springs

Arrive at launch site and lay out balloon
- 4.50am
The inflation of the balloons is a majestic sight!
- 5.10am
Balloon is ready for lift off. Passengers climb aboard as
sun's first rays lighten the sky. We are ready for lift
off! The views below are breathtaking! Enjoy sightings of
kangaroos and other wildlife while pilot offers commentary
on the area.

to 6.00am
Back on terra firma! Balloon is packed away. (Flying time
varies depending on the day)
- 7.00am
Arrive at Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge for breakfast. Breakfast
is a time of celebration, feasting, relaxation and leisure.
Time to chat with the crew and meet other guests. Breakfast
typically includes chicken drumsticks, juice, tea &
coffee, croissants, bread & condiments, freshly baked
muffins and of course champagne.
- 8.00am
Climb aboard coaches for return to accommodation or transfer
to other tours/airport. Time to wind down.
- Approx
8.15am
Arrive back in Alice Springs or join one of our fully inclusive
package tours!
Please
note:
Pick up times vary according to season.
Above times vary slightly & December (summer) times are
shown.
June (winter) times are approximately 1 hour later (pickups
from 5am).
Inclusions
All tours include return transfers from Alice Springs accommodation,
a traditional balloonists breakfast & a flight certificate.
Weather
Conditions
Should the ballooning be cancelled due to adverse weather
conditions, we will endeavor to rebook the passengers for
another date that suits their schedule. Sometimes this is
not possible, therefore the passengers are entitled to a full
refund.
Cancellation
Policy
Clients who cancel their ballooning tour within 24 of departure
will not be given a refund. Clients who are a "no show" on
the morning of the tour will not be given a refund. Clients
who suffer "cold feet" on the launch field will not be given
a refund. Where circumstances are beyond a client's control,
please contact our office immediately.
FOC
Policy
Tour Escort may join the Tour Group FOC. (Subject to availability)
