Ozsail, Aussie Adventure Sailing and Prosail to Merge Reservations, Sales and Marketing

The independent owners and operators of each of these companies have recognised for some time that we are duplicating many of our services and costs. In recent months it has become apparent that we can better service our agent network and our customers by pooling our resources both at reservations and when promoting our product.

As part of these discussions re improving services an opportunity arose for Mal Robertson from Aussie Adventure Sailing and Adrian Platt from Ozsail to purchase Prosail Queensland Pty Ltd and this sale has just been finalised. The very good news is that the quality and service you have been accustomed too from AAS, Ozsail and Prosail for many years will continue and where ever possible be further improved.

As long time members of the Whitsunday Charter Boat Industry Association we have always agreed on standards and codes of conduct to better the industry and our collective aim is to place ourselves even further ahead of our competitors in terms of quality, customer service and value for money. The new sales and marketing company is to be called “Oz Adventure Sailing” and the product structure will be as follows:

The new Brand will have some 28 vessels and multiple daily departures from nearly all categories and will give agents and customers a fantastic choice of cruises. At the same time you can be confident in the quality and service levels as each of the vessels within the group will remain under the supervision and operational control of our existing owner operators, who still manage and skipper their vessels and remain close to their customers.

It will take some months to build the new sales materials and change over to the new look company and we hope to have this finalised early in 2006. In the mean time we see things as business as usual and any changes to procedures will be advised to you as they happen. Our sales representatives will continue to call on you and the other good news is that they will be more frequent and able to talk to you on all of the vessels in the new fleet.

The first operational change to be made is that on Thursday 8 December 2005 we will re-locate the Airlie Beach reservations staff of Prosail from Beach Plaza, The Esplanade to our new Oz Adventure Sailing office at 293 Shute Harbour Road [the current AAS office.
