Itinerary:
Our tours start when we pick
you up from your hostel in Adelaide and drive towards Kangaroo
Island via the Fleurieu Peninsula and experience some fantastic
coastal views. We arrive at Cape Jervis and jump on either
our own charter boat (and actively search for dolphins) or
the ferry as we cross the Backstairs Passage to Penneshaw
on the island.
From there we start our Kangaroo
Island experience with the panoramic views atop Prospect Hill.
Our days of action, wildlife
and wilderness include sand boarding at Little Sahara (like
snowboarding on sand), swimming and snorkelling at some remote
beaches and optional quad biking around the bush at sunset.
We also visit Seal Bay, where
we get up close to the Sea Lions on a beach walk.
Overnight is (usually) spent
at our private stone cottage not far from Vivonne Bay and
surrounded by kangaroos, possums and the occasional echidna
and koala. The nights are spent around the campfire. After
dinner, whether an Aussie BBQ feast or some other tour specialty,
we take a nocturnal walk and see those animals active at night,
including penguins.
We spend time in the Flinders
Chase National Park, the largest on the island. We check out
the famous Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch before choosing
a selection of short hikes. Flinders Chase is home to the
elusive platypus, vast tracts of untamed wilderness and heaps
of other wildlife, which well do our best to see lots of.
With an extra day on the island
our 3 days/2 nights tour has time to visit the Eucalyptus
Distillery, Stokes Bay, Kangaroo Island Winery and Kelly Hill
Caves.
At the end of the day we make
our way back to Penneshaw for the return crossing to Cape
Jervis and the drive back into Adelaide, arriving at about
8.30pm.
Please note: Preferable
luggage limit is one small bag per person. We encourage our
guides to be flexible and we have very few time restrictions.
Road, weather and group conditions always change and by being
flexible our tours are varied and individual.

Campwild Adventures was started
by Tim and Bianca Grigg in 1998. After spending 3 ½ years
travelling around Australia and the world, they realised just
how difficult it was for the traveller visiting this beautiful
country to see the real Australia, to get off the worn out
tourist routes and into the bush.
If you want a really special
experience while in Australia, and are prepared to join in
on tour and have lots of fun while you
meet new friends in some of the worlds most special environments.
Join
our 2 or 3 Day Kangaroo Island Wildlife Safari tour and you
want regret it.
So they started Campwild Adventures,
and had a simple philosophy behind their business, 'enjoyment
before profit.' Campwild is an eco friendly company, we have
our own environmental plan and follow the minimum impact recomendations
set down by The National Parks Service. We recycle on our
trips and in the office, and always try to use recycled paper
for our correspondense and publicity material.
Now part of the famous brand Groovy
Grape group this tour is a tour you won't forget. |

Note:
Itinerary may vary and/or attractions
be substituted due to seasonal conditions, weather extremes,
