Visiting the main falls of the Park, you have the opportunity for scenic and interpretive bush and monsoon vine forest walks. View Florence Falls from a high vantage point before making your way down the stairs to the plunge pool below with an opportunity to swim, making your way back via the monsoon forest and open woodland and more. What to Bring: (In a small day pack due to space limitations): swimwear and towel (if swimming), sunscreen, hat, insect repellent, personal requisites, camera with plenty of film and comfortable non-slip walking shoes.
What's Included: Air-conditioned tour vehicle. Lunch (cold meats, salads, fruit, tea and coffee) - special diets catered for if advised at time of booking, iced water throughout tour, experienced NT resident guide.
Fitness Level: A reasonable level of fitness is recommended as walking is required in Litchfield Park.
Suitability: This tour is suitable for all ages.
All travellers should be encouraged to have adequate travel insurance.

Florence Falls in Litchfield National park

ITINERARY:

Leaving Darwin, we follow the Stuart Highway via the township of Batchelor to Litchfield National Park. Visiting the main falls of the Park, you have the opportunity for scenic and interpretive bush and monsoon vine forest walks. View Florence Falls from a high vantage point before making your way down the stairs to the plunge pool below with an opportunity to swim, making your way back via the monsoon forest and open woodland. We travel to Buley Rockhole where you can take this opportunity to swim in the many rock pools and also visit Tolmer Falls for a magnificent view of the water cascading down to the deep waterhole below. Enjoy a buffet lunch. We venture to Wangi Falls for another opportunity for a swim in the large crystal clear pool and an optional steady climb through the rainforest to the top of the falls. A great day also for taking many interesting photos, including the amazing stand of termite mounds. In the late afternoon, the group returns to Darwin. (Lunch)
