Day 1 Wed: Arrive Broome
On arrival in Broome you will be transferred
to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink with your
Tour Director and fellow travellers this evening.

Day 2 Thu: Boome at leisure
Today is at leisure to explore this tropical
hideaway. See Chinatown and Streeters Jetty.
Directly opposite the hotel is Cable Beach,
22km of white sand and tropical clear water.

Day 3 Fri: Fitzroy Crossing
Travel to the port of Derby, situated on the
edge of King Sound and see the famous Boab Prison
Tree, used by the first police as an overnight
holding cell. Then continue through some
of Australia’s biggest pastoral properties,
to the remote township of Fitzroy Crossing.

Day 4 Sat: Geike Gorge
This morning cruise through the Geike Gorge,
formed by the waters of the Fitzroy River, tunnelling
through the Napier Range. Watch for wildlife
as the 30 metre high walls of the gorge tower
above us. Travel to Halls Creek, situated on
the edge of the Great Sandy Desert.

Day 5 Sun: Argyle Diamond Mine
A local guide will join us for a tour of Argyle
Diamond Mine, the world’s largest diamond
mine. This afternoon travel to El Questro Wilderness
Park.

stay in unique tented cabins with private facilities,

Day 6 Mon: El Questro Wilderness Park
Cruise through Chamberlain Gorge, a fresh waterhole
abounded by tropical vegetation. At Emma Gorge
Resort there is time this afternoon to sit by
the pool or to hike into Emma Gorge. (B)
Day 7 Tue: Wyndham - 5 Rivers Lookout
This morning travel along the Gibb River Road
to Parry Lagoon Nature Reserve. See the birdlife
of this region and learn about traditional lifestyles.
Your Aboriginal hosts will welcome you to the
region in a traditional ceremony. Continue to
Wyndham to the 5 Rivers Lookout for sensational
views over the Cambridge Gulf. Visit Warriu
Park to see the Dreamtime Statues and rock art
mural.

Day 8 Wed: Kununurra
After breakfast enjoy a tour of Kununurra. See
the results of the Ord River Irrigation Scheme
and explore Hidden Valley National Park.

Day 9 Thu: Ord River Cruise - Katherine
This morning cruise along the Ord River from
Kununurra to Lake Argyle. Visit the historic
Durack Homestead. Cross vast cattle stations
en route to Katherine.

Day 10 Fri: Katherine Gorge - Darwin
Cruise the placid waters of the Katherine River
through the towering cliffs of two gorges. This
afternoon travel through to Darwin for a tour
of this tropical city. See the mixture of old
and new building styles including the old Government
House and
the new Northern Territory Parliament Building.
Visit the Museum and Art Gallery
of the Northern Territory. Drive through the
Botanic Gardens to East Point Reserve and view
remnants of the World War 11 defence of Australia.

Day 11 Sat: Depart Darwin
Your tour concludes after breakfast. You will
be transferred to Darwin Airport to connect
