Rise early this morning to travel to the sunrise viewing area at the eastern end of Uluru. Watch the first rays of dawn set Uluru and the Red Centre alight whilst enjoying a warming cup of tea or coffee and biscuits. After sunrise, travel by coach to Mutitjulu Waterhole, your guide pointing our natural features of the landscape, Aboriginal rock paintings and traditional Aboriginal stories relating to this special area. Then walking for approximately 1.5hrs to Kuniya Piti, a sacred site at Uluru to be picked up by coach to around the base of Uluru to view Kantju Gorge, where after rainfall, water can cascade of the side Uluru and plunge some 90 metres to the ground. From here we do the Mala Walk (approximately 45 minutes), which takes you through one of the most important habitation areas for the Aboriginal people over thousands of years. Morning tea is provided by your Guide. There is an opportunity for you to visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, and learn more about Anangu and Tjukurpa (Anangu beliefs and laws).
