Highlights * Guluyambi Cruise
* Litchfield National Park
Day 1: Darwin - Kakadu
Travel through the Marrakai Plains and deep
into Kakadu National Park . Stop at Nourlangie
Rock, where your guide will lead you on a walk
to view ancient Aboriginal rock art. After lunch
at Cooinda, we join our local guide for a cruise
on the famous Yellow Water Billabong where there
is the opportunity to see bird life and saltwater
crocodiles. Later visit the Warradjan Cultural
Centre and view displays and exhibits depicting
the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu.
Accommodation: Gagudju Crocodile Holiday Inn,
Aurora Kakadu or Kakadu Lodge. (L)
Day 2: Kakadu - Darwin
This morning stop at Ubirr with a short walk
to view Aboriginal rock art.
Join the Guluyambi Cruise along the East Alligator River
in search of saltwater crocodiles. We have an
Aboriginal guide with us and with the special
permission of the local people, we will be able
to go ashore in Arnhem Land . Visit the Bowali
Visitor Centre. There is time for an optional
scenic flight (own expense) over the Arnhem
Land Escarpment. Return to Darwin , arriving
approximately 7.30pm.

Day 3: Litchfield National Park - Darwin
Leaving Darwin, we follow the Stuart Highway
via the township of Batchelor to Litchfield
National Park . Visiting the main falls of the
Park, you have the opportunity for scenic and
interpretive bush and monsoon vine forest walks.
View Florence Falls before making your way down
the stairs to the plunge pool below with an
opportunity to swim. We travel to Buley Rockhole
(when accessible) where you can take this opportunity
to swim in the many rock pools and also visit
Tolmer Falls for a magnificent view of the water
cascading down to the deep waterhole below.
We venture to Wangi Falls for another opportunity
for a swim in the large crystal clear pool and
an optional steady climb through the rainforest
to the top of the falls. During the day we stop
for a picnic lunch. A great day also for taking
many interesting photos, including the amazing
stand of Termite Mounds. (L)
Note: A reasonable level of mobility is required.
Between November and April access to Ubirr and
East Alligator River is not always possible.
Alternative touring will be arranged.
Departs: 6.45am Daily (except
23 Dec) from Darwin (or earlier from your hotel)
Note: Tour departures on 24 & 30 Dec will
visit Litchfield on Day 1 & Kakadu on Days
2 & 3.
Returns: 6.00pm approximately
