Day 1: Arrive Broome
On arrival in Broome you will be transferred
to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink with your
Tour Director. Accommodation: Cable Beach Club
Resort, Broome, 2 nights.
Day 2: Broome at leisure
Today is at leisure to explore this tropical
hideaway. Directly opposite the hotel is Cable
Beach, 22km of white sand and clear tropical
water. (B)
Day 3: Fitzroy Crossing
Travel to the port of Derby, situated on the
edge of King Sound. Visit the famous Boab Prison
Tree, used by the first police as an overnight
holding cell. Travel through some of Australia’s
biggest pastoral properties, to the remote township
of Fitzroy Crossing. Accommodation: Fitzroy
River Lodge, Fitzroy Crossing. (B) 
Day 4: Geikie Gorge
This morning cruise through Geikie Gorge, formed
by the waters of the Fitzroy River, tunnelling
through the Napier Range. Watch for wildlife
as the 30 metre high walls of the gorge tower
above us. Travel to Halls Creek, situated on
the edge of the Great Sandy Desert. Accommodation:

Day 5: Argyle Diamond Mine
Journey north of Halls Creek and enter the Argyle
mining lease. A local guide will join us and
conduct a tour of Argyle Diamond Mine, the world’s
largest diamond mine. This afternoon travel
to El Questro Wilderness Park. Accommodation:
Emma Gorge Resort, 2 nights, tented cabins with
private facilities, power and linen provided.

Day 6: El Questro
This morning cruise through Chamberlain Gorge,
a fresh waterhole abounded by tropical vegetation.
At Emma Gorge Resort there is time to relax
and sit by the pool or to hike into Emma Gorge
for a refreshing swim in the waterhole. (B)

Day 7: Parry Lagoon -Wyndham
This morning we travel along the Gibb Rive Road
to Parry Lagoon Nature Reserve, a haven for
bird life in this region. Continue to Wyndham
to the 5 Rivers Lookout for sensational views
over the Cambridge Gulf. Visit Warriu Park to
see the Dreamtime Statues and rock art mural.
Accommodation: Country Club Hotel, Kununurra,

Day 8: Kununurra
After breakfast, enjoy a tour of Kununurra.
See the Ord River Irrigation Scheme and Hidden
Valley National Park. (B) 
Day 9: Ord River Cruise
This morning cruise along the Ord River from
Kununurra to Lake Argyle. Visit the historic
Durack Homestead. Cross vast cattle stations
en route to Katherine.
Accommodation: Paraway Motel, Katherine. (B)

Day 10: Katherine Gorge
Cruise the placid waters of the Katherine River
through the towering cliffs of two gorges. Look
out for freshwater crocodiles. This afternoon
travel through to the tropical city of Darwin
for an orientation tour. Accommodation: Darwin
Central Hotel, Darwin, 2 nights. (B) 
INDEPENDENT TOURING DAYS 11-14
Day 11: Darwin at leisure
Enjoy a day at leisure in Darwin. (B)
Day 12: Kakadu National Park
Join your local AAT Kings Driver/Guide this
morning. Travel into Kakadu National Park. View
ancient Aboriginal art at Nourlangie Rock. At
Cooinda join a wildlife cruise on Yellow Water
Billabong. Later, visit the Warradjan Aboriginal
Cultural Centre.
Accommodation: Gagudju Crocodile Holiday Inn,

Day 13: Kakadu - Darwin
Join the Guluyambi Cruise along the spectacular
East Alligator River. Next stop is Ubirr, to
view rock art. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre.
Return to Darwin.

Day 14: Depart Darwin
You will be transferred to Darwin Airport to
connect with your onward flight. (B)
