Itinerary
Day 1. Camel Farm, Kings Canyon Guided Walk.
Depart Alice Springs this morning and stop at the Outback
Camel Farm before arriving at Kings Creek Station, a working
cattle and camel station. Proceed to our exclusive Kings Canyon
Wilderness Lodge, set in a typical Central Australian bush
environment among the Desert Oak trees a tree that is only
found in this region of Central Australia. Settle into your
accommodation before departing for a guided walk of the rim
of Kings Canyon. Dinner tonight is under the stars around
the campfire (weather permitting). Sample some of the gourmet
bush foods of Australia. After dinner relax around the fire
with drinks or coffee.
Stay: APT EXCLUSIVE! Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge.
Meals: Dx1
Day 2. Bush Tour, Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Sunset.
After breakfast join an exclusive tour of the grounds
of the cattle station for a chance to spot wild camels, kangaroos
and other wildlife. See ancient Aboriginal petroglyphs (rock
engravings). Return to the Lodge to freshen up before departing
for Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta,
taking a guided walk into majestic Walpa (Olga) Gorge. Marvel
at the sheer walls that flank you as you enter the gorge.
Travel to Uluru to watch the sunset, enjoying a complimentary
glass of wine.
Stay: Ayers Rock Resort Outback Pioneer Hotel (Standard),
Desert Gardens (First Class), Sails in the Desert (Deluxe).
Meals: Bx1
Day 3. Uluru Sunrise, Mutitjulu Waterhole, Mala Walk.
Rise early and enter Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Enjoy
a cup of tea or coffee as you witness Uluru at sunrise. With
the sun still climbing, join a guided walk to the waterhole
of Mutitjulu, viewing ancient cave paintings. Then join the
guided Mala Walk to see painted caves and learn about the
region's geology and flora. Visit Kantju Gorge, a sacred waterhole,
and visit both the Uluru Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and Maruku
Arts and Craft Cooperative. Then be transferred to Ayers Rock
airport.
