Itinerary
Day 1. Kakadu, Ubirr Art Site.
Depart Darwin and travel into Kakadu National Park. Explore
the Aboriginal rock art at Ubirr. Following lunch, join the
Guluyambi Cruise with an Aboriginal guide. Later, by special
permission, take a walk into Arnhem Land.
Two Night Stay: Kakadu National Park - Kakadu Lodge
(Budget, shared facilities), Aurora Kakadu (Standard), Gagudju
Crocodile Holiday Inn (First-Class).
Meals: Lx1
Day 2. Arnhem Land.
Join a 4WD adventure into Arnhem Land to visit the Aboriginal
community of Oenpelli and the rarely seen Mikinj Valley. Tours
are led by an Aboriginal guide. Learn about bush skills, hunting
techniques and bush tucker. View Aboriginal rock art in its
untouched state.
Meals: Lx1
Day 3. Nourlangie Rock, Yellow Water.
Today discover Aboriginal art at Nourlangie Rock. Continue
to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Take a guided
wildlife cruise on Yellow Water billabong. Continue to the
town of Katherine.
Stay: Katherine - Knotts Crossing, Cabins (Budget), Motel
Rooms (Standard), Executive Rooms (First-Class).
Meals: Lx1
Day 4. Nitmiluk National Park, Edith Falls, Katherine
Gorge.
Enter Nitmiluk National Park and take a guided cruise
through Katherine Gorge. Call in at the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre
before continuing to the Edith Falls, where you may wish to
take a swim. Return to Darwin.
