Itinerary
Day 1. Ayers Rock Resort, Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Walpa (Olga)
Gorge, Uluru Sunset Drinks.
Arrive at Ayers Rock Airport before 1.00 p.m. and transfer
to Ayers Rock Resort. Enter Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park,
a region that has been inhabited for the past 22,000 years
by the Anangu people. Then travel to Kata Tjuta and walk into
Walpa Gorge. Admire the sheer walls that flank you as you
follow the creek bed. Keep an eye out for petroglyphs (stone
carvings) on the gorge floor, and see plants so rare that
they are found nowhere else on earth. Return to Uluru (Ayers
Rock) late in the afternoon. Enjoy a complimentary glass of
wine as you admire the ever-changing colours of Uluru at sunset.
Tonight you might like to enjoy the Uluru Aussie Barbecue
(additional cost).

Day 2. Uluru Base Tour, Kings Canyon.
Rise early and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while watching
the sunrise over Uluru. Next, take a walk to the waterhole
of Mutitjulu. Then join the guided Mala Walk, visiting traditional
art sites and learning of the region’s geology and flora.
Alternatively, forgo the Mutitjulu and Mala walks to climb
Uluru. Visit the Cultural Centre then travel to Kings Canyon
in Watarrka National Park.
Stay: EXCLUSIVE! Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge (Exclusive
DB, Contact Us for further details) or Kings Canyon Resort,
choice of accommodation (room only).

Day 3. Kings Canyon, Alice Springs.
This morning travel to the remarkable formation of Kings
Canyon where you have a choice of guided walks. The rim walk
takes you to the canyon rim and through the ‘Lost City’ to
the ‘Garden of Eden’ (requires a good degree of fitness).
The easier canyon floor walk takes you deep into the canyon
between the towering orange walls. This afternoon travel to
Alice Springs, stopping at Kings Creek Station, an Outback
cattle property.
Stay: Alice Springs Resort, choice of hotel.
Meals: Not included
Day 4. Alice Springs.
Enjoy time this morning for one of our optional activities.
Transfer to the airport or railway station.
Meals: Not included
