J8-Dep. PD 8.30 a.m. Ret. PD 8.30 p.m. Travel the coastal road viewing the Coral Sea and tropical beaches. Climb the Rex Range to Mt Carbine and cross the Palmer River. Arrive in historic Cooktown in the early afternoon and enjoy a guided tour. See the site where Captain James Cook beached his ship 'Endeavour' in 1770. Visit the museum with its many relics from Cook's landing. Explore Cooktown's historic buildings. Scenic flight options available from Cairns only.
