ITINERARY OF THIS TOUR

Day 1:

Half Day. Depart: 2.30 p.m. (1 Mar. to 31 Oct.), 3.30 p.m. (1 Nov. to 28 Feb.). Arrive at Ayers Rock Airport before 1.00 p.m. The Kuniya Sunset Tour gives a special introduction to the spirit and culture of Uluru (Ayers Rock). After being met at your hotel by an experienced guide, visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Learn of Uluru creation stories and the meaning that the monolith holds for its local custodians. Led by your Aboriginal guide, set off on the Kuniya Walk to the awe-inspiring waterhole of Mutitjulu. Trace the story of the Kuniya Python Woman in the ripples and marks on Uluru. Visit caves, see ancient Aboriginal paintings and search for bush tucker foods before seeing how they are traditionally prepared. Hear tales of survival within this harsh desert landscape. To end this fascinating cultural experience, watch the magnificent changing colours of Uluru at sunset.
