Day 1: Adelaide to the Grampians
Leaving Adelaide in the morning, drive across the state border into Victoria and enter the Grampians. Go for a walk to view the Jaws of Death, hike down to McKenzie Falls and take in the incredible views from Reeds Lookout. Gain an insight into the customs of the land's traditional owners during a stop-in at the Brambuck Cultural Centre, then head into the heart of the Grampians, stopping en route for lunch. Last stop of the day will be a spot in the Grampians National Park where kangaroos, wallabies and koalas are often spotted. Tonight's accommodation is at either Brambuk Backpackers or the Grampians YHA.

Note: Total driving time today is about seven and a half hours (approximately 550kms) Total walking time will be about two and a half hours (approximately 3.5kms)

Day 2: The Grampians to Melbourne
After an early morning start, begin the journey along Australia's glorious Great Ocean Road. Explore Port Campbell National Park, checking out London Bridge, Loch Ard Gorge and the iconic Twelve Apostles rock formation, then sit back and soak up the mesmerising coastal views en route. Stop at Kennett River for the chance to spot koalas before passing through the charming beach towns of Apollo Bay and Lorne. Take some snaps at some famed surf locations and hit the highway back to Melbourne.

1. This trip starts in Adelaide at approximately 7am and finishes in central Melbourne at approximately 7pm on day two. Onward travel must be booked the following day.

• Basix accommodation consists of multishare lodge rooms which may be mixed gender.

• Single travellers or groups travelling in odd numbers will be paired with another person of the same gender. A single supplement is available at Original level.
• Families traveling with children under the age of 18 will be required to book the Original level with twin share rooms.

Dietary Requirements

Food for the trip is purchased prior to commencement and special requirements cannot be catered for after departing. If you have not notified us prior to departure, you may be asked to pay for any additional food yourself. Due to the nature of our trips food is basic but plentiful.

• From October to March it is likely that you will experience temperatures of over 35 degrees Celsius, and sometimes well into the 40's. Be prepared to endure extra physical stress due to the heat at these times, especially while on walks. These extreme temperatures can also place stress on the air-conditioning units within our vehicles which can make travelling uncomfortable. Your tour guide will assist with regular breaks and information to assist keeping hydrated. In July and August, very cold temperatures can be experienced in the outback, especially overnight. Please come prepared for all extremes.

Travel Insurance
• Travel insurance is compulsory for all international travellers and should be taken out at the time of booking. We recommend Australian citizens take out a domestic travel insurance policy which covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.
