The
guesthouse is surrounded with gardens and pools. 50'000
ha of beautiful ranging tropical bush and parkland. Rich
native fauna and bird life. The FWT holds many secrets and
surprises such as the one remaining ghost bat colony in
the world, hidden in the famous Kohinoor Gold mine, the
fantastic bowers of the bower bird, amazing rock formations
and many others. Visitors can also visit the Station yards
where they will see young foals, water buffalos and other
animals. In this safe place native animals and horses live
together in peace.

The Only Wild Horse Sanctuary
in Australia For horse and animal lovers, the Franz Weber
Territory is the ideal place. Visitors can enjoy trail riding
and picnic rides and watch the wild horses running free.
Horse riding lessons are available by the Station’s experienced
staff. Near the enchanting Cullen River and alongside several
billabongs is our overnight camp where, after a 3.5 hour
horse ride from the Station’s stables, guests will enjoy
dining and sleeping under millions of stars. The Franz Weber
Territory is the only place in Australia where visitors
can watch wild horses living in freedom and safety and discover
their secret ways and laws.

"The Living" Our services
are highly rated around the region. All rooms have their
own beautiful bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fan, tea
and coffee facility and private veranda. Other services
include: Delicious Breakfast-Buffet (not included in the
room-rate); Laundry Service Transfers to and from Darwin
airport/ Katherine airport/ Pine Creek bus station; 4WD-tours
"The Pavilion Restaurant"
Excellent a-la-carte cuisine. Our restaurant is featured
in the renowned « Australian & New Zealand Gourmet Traveller
Guide » and is Gold Plate Award Finalist 1999. Our wine
cellar offers a wide selection of the best Australian wines.
"The Conferences" We are a well established holiday destination
and conference venue, Christmas and wedding functions and
accommodation packages also available. For larger groups
we offer the use of the entire resort and its facilities
exclusively for the duration of the conference/seminar.
Partners of those attending conferences and seminars can
take advantage of the resorts regular activities and facilities.
Early morning or late afternoon horse riding, bush walking

Thomas Scherraus is a graduate of the Swiss Hotel Management
School of Lucerne. He works in perfect harmony with his
team, an enthusiastic, friendly and professional group Australians.
Chef Brett Sutton is always thinking up new and exciting
menus and creates the most delicious dishes with herbs and
vegetables grown in the gardens of the resort and with spices

Franz Weber" The Franz Weber Foundation is an international
humane organisation founded in 1975, concerned with the protection
of nature and animals worldwide. Ever since 1975 it has been
leading successful international campaigns to save animals
such as the campaign against the slaughter of baby seals in
Canada, the massacres of migratory birds and the cruel transports
of horses in Europe, the massacres of black dolphins on the
Faroe Islands, ... "Fondation Franz Weber" ... the inhuman
transports of butchery animals across Europe, the massacre
of African Elephants etc. In Togo, West Africa, the Foundation
runs an elephant and wild-life reserve of 2000 km2. The Franz
Weber Territory is the only place in Australia where visitors
can watch wild horses living in freedom and safety and discover
