into the heart of Kakadu National Park, exploring
gorges, billabongs and forests.
You
will be travelling in an air-conditioned drive vehicle
and exploring this extraordinary World Heritage area
with guide who really knows his or her stuff.
We
use several established campsites throughout the Park
to make sure you get the best bush experience. Sleep
in two person tents on stretcher beds with mattresses,
sleeping bags and sheets provided. All campsites have
toilets and hot showers.

pants and long sleeved shirt (mosquito protection and extra
warmth at night during winter), swimsuit, hat, towel, pillow,

and spare film, torch and a sense of fun.

1. |
Darwin
to Kakadu
After pick up from your accommodation and meeting your
Billy Can guide, we head out to Kakadu National Park. Our
first adventure is a crocodile spotting cruise. We stop
for a visit at the Bark Hut Inn and continue on into Kakadu.
We cross the South Alligator River before heading to Ubirr
Rock where we see classic examples of Aboriginal rock art
and spectacular 360 degree views. At the end of the day
we travel to our comfortable permanent campsite in Kakadu
and enjoy a hearty dinner. Kakadu

Kakadu
to Darwin
After breakfast we visit Barramundi Gorge in the dry
season and Baraolba Springs or Gunlom Falls when Barramundi
Gorge is inaccessible. Both locations offer an opportunity
to swim in cool clear water, walk and explore spectacular
sandstone country. After lunch we visit the Aboriginal art
galleries at Nourlangie Rock and the fascinating Bowali
Centre, Kakadu National Park Headquarters. We return to
Darwin at approximately 7:00pm.

Personal
luggage is limited to an overnight bag and a day pack. Most
Darwin accommodation will be happy to store any excess luggage
you may have, some do charge a small fee. We recommend that
your store valuables in the safety deposit at your Darwin
accommodation.

Some activities within Australia's National parks are dependant
on the weather and observance of cultural traditions, therefore
itineraries are subject to change. |
| Camp
Facilities |
All
Billy Can Tours' camp sites are clean and comfortable. Each
campsite has toilets, showers and twin share tents or shelters,
tables and chairs. We supply clean sheets and sleeping bags
but ask that guests bring their own pillow and towel. All
evening meals are cooked on the open fire (weather permitting)
or at undercover gas barbecue facilities available at each
site and vegetarians are easily catered for. Lighting at
the main camps is electric, otherwise provided by gas or
kerosene lamps and flare torches.

Activity
on this tour includes trekking, climbing, swimming and paddling
on an airbed and although the distances aren't great, in the
heat and humidity any activity is more strenuous. Passengers
need a reasonable level of fitness and agility and some participation
is encouraged. |
