and General Conditions -
Centre
Highlights operates active tours throughout
Central Australia. These tours involve travel
through outback areas which are sometimes
remote and isolated. For these reasons we
reserve the right to alter itineraries, accommodation
and transport as the necessity arises by way
of weather, road, mechanical defect or any
other operational conditions. (We strongly
recommend Travel Insurance) Any personal expenses
incurred by a passenger as a result of any
delay, alteration or curtailment of any tour
is at the sole responsibility of the passenger.
Alice Springs Holidays is unable to guarantee
exact arrival and departure times and is not
liable for any failure to make connection
with or guarantee operation of any particular
service. Any unused portion, of a tour or
holiday, for what ever reason, is not refundable.
Whilst Alice Springs Holidays will take all
reasonable steps to provide an enjoyable tour,
Centre Highlights accepts no liability for
any loss of enjoyment whatsoever or howsoever
experienced by the passenger. Alice Springs
Holidays or it's representative has absolute
discretion to withdraw from or curtail any
person/s participation in any tour or activity,
who due to their mental or physical condition,
is such as to render them incapable of caring
for themselves, or become objectionable to
other passengers, or they become a hazard
to themselves or other passengers.
Concessions:
Persons under the age of 5 years
are considered to be infants and will require
a seat of their own on extended tours. A nominal
charge will be made - please contact Centre
Highlights with details. Persons 5 years to
12 years are considered to be children when
sharing with a minimum of two adults.
Please contact Centre Highlights with details,
to avail the most suitable arrangements for
a family. Alternative accommodation more suited
to families is available than has been listed.
Smoking:
By way of Government and Company
regulations, smoking is prohibited inside
our vehicles, however frequent stops are made
for the comfort and enjoyment of all passengers.
What
to Bring: Casual comfortable clothing
is recommended for day wear. Warm layered
clothing for winter, light loose clothing
for summer. Neat casual dress is required
for some restaurants. Strong footwear and
a hat. Several changes including warm clothes
for early morning and evenings are recommended,
personal toiletries, cameras, sunscreen and
a small flask for drinking water.
Deposits:
To confirm your reservation a non
refundable deposit of 20% of the total ticket
value is required to be received by Centre
Highlights within 7 days of your being confirmed
Final
Payment : To be receive by Centre
Highlights no later than 30 days prior to
departure and failure to comply may result
in waitlisted passengers being accepted in
place of applicant
Payment
Methods : Direct Deposit and most
credit cards. Please check with us for further
details.
Rates:
All rates are in Australian Dollars,
and are valid from 1 April 2007 to 31 March
2008. *NB: Persons travelling alone must pay
the sole use rate. For future validity dates
and rates please contact us
Cancellation
Scheduled Tour: Cancellation must
be made in writing and such notice is not
effective until received by Centre Highlights
during normal working hours. If a tour has
commenced there will be no refund of fare
or unused portion of tour. The following fees
apply to each individual person on cancellation
when travelling on a public tour.

Private Selection: Bookings cancelled
within 30 days of departure incur a 100% cancellation
fee.
Amendments:
Once a booking is confirmed each
change will incur a $50.00pp fee.
Travel
Documents: Final documentation will
be issued upon receipt of cleared funds
Travel
Insurance: A travel Insurance policy
purchased in the country of origin covering
loss of deposit, airfares, accommodation charges,
medical expenses, loss or damage to personal
property and repatriation expenses is strongly
recommended. The insurance should cover loss
arising from the passenger's inability to
travel due to any reason whatsoever. Alice
Springs Holidays accepts no responsibility
for any loss, damages or expenses incurred
by a person travelling.
Luggage:
Maximum weight of all luggage is
20kg (44lbs). Alternative arrangements can
be made for excess luggage and all luggage
is carried at 'owners risk'. Centre Highlights
accepts no responsibility for loss, damage
or otherwise of luggage.
Vehicles:
All touring vehicles are customised
for outback travel and are fully air-conditioned
with satellite communication, onboard catering
facilities, reference library, enabling comfortable
and rewarding access to all corners of Central
Australia. Other suitable vehicles may be
used from time to time when appropriate.
