2: Yulara
to Kings Creek
It's an early rise today for an exciting morning with breathtaking
views of sunrise at Uluru (Ayers Rock), a World Heritage listed
area. Join your knowledgeable guide for a base tour of Uluru,
exploring ancient caves where Aboriginal paintings can be
seen. A fascinating time learning about the oldest culture
in the world. This afternoon, travel through red sand dune
& desert oak country to Kings Creek Cattle Station where optional
activities are abundant. Tonight, try a traditional "camp
oven" dinner, cooked in the coals of the fire.

3: Kings
Creek to Glen Helen
Today we explore breathtaking Kings Canyon. There is no rush
as we hike around the canyon rim viewing sites like the "Lost
City" and the "Garden of Eden". After a picnic lunch, we head
off on the famous Mereenie Loop Road towards the MacDonnell

and in summer you can take a swim to cool off. Late afternoon,
we end up at Wallace Rockhole Aboriginal Community, our overnight

and do some hiking here before returning to Alice Springs
later in the day, arriving approx. 6.30pm.

A Message
from the Anangu People
Note:
Anangu, Uluru's traditional owners, would prefer that visitors
choose not to climb Uluru. Furthermore, the climb may be closed
without notice due to weather or cultural reasons.
Please
Note:
Please note that some activities within Australia’s national
parks are dependent on weather and the observance of cultural
traditions, therefore itineraries are subject to change.
Tours
are to remote areas and there is quite a lot of hiking involved.
Passengers should be of reasonable health and fitness and
be carrying all required medication.
This
camping tour caters for those on a limited budget but still
wanting to travel in a small group (10 - 24 passengers). It
is designed for those who are looking for adventure and who
want to experience the beauty of Central Australia whilst
enjoying the reward of camping and meeting new friends. Although
there is no hard work on the camping tour it's success does
rely on the participation of all the passengers to help with
cooking, collecting firewood etc. Passengers considering this
tours should be in good health, young at heart and be prepared
to experience an unforgettable camping adventure.
