4WD Troopy

Our 4WD vehicles are Toyota Landcruiser Troopcarriers. Fully loaded they seat a maximum of 10 passenger plus a driver, the rear passengers sit or either side of the vehicle along side facing bench seats.

The vehicles are air conditioned although it should be stressed that they are by no means luxury vehicles, they are built to do a job and that's to go anywhere.

The side facing seat configuration is great fun as everyone can get involved. Once the group gets to know each other, it's generally great fun riding in the back of the truck.


All vehicles are fitted with woking cassette stereos and a good selection of music (well depending on which driver you get) and all passengers are encouraged to bring along tapes.

4WD Arkana

We also use a Landcruiser Arkana on our Flinders trips, these are very similar to the Troop Carriers but carry a maximum of 12 passengers in a forward facing seating arrangement, this set up is ideal for the Flinders where distances are longer and many of the views are gained from the truck while it climbs steep slopes in 4WD.

Landcruiser 100 Series

Our late model Landcruiser is used for charter work, much more comfortable than the troopies and able to carry a max of 6 passengers.

We operate our Charters through Outback South Australia, Kangaroo Island, Flinders Ranges and Central and Northern Australia.

Boat

To get to Kangaroo Island we use a 30 foot aluminium charter boat with an open deck and partly enclosed cabin for the 30 minute boat ride to the island. It is a very strong, safe and stable boat which has been surveyed to carry up to 12 passengers.

This is a fantastic way of getting to the island as the crossing of "Backstairs Passage" (the body of water between the Island and the mainland) is always filled with fantastic views of the island coast line.

Often pods of dolphins, who live in abundance around the island, come along side of the boat for photo opotunities and even swimming. We have total controll of the boat and, as is the style of our trip, we have the flexibility to stop, to take as long as want to take advantage of any opportunity.
