The
Groovy way to travel the Stuart Highway between Adelaide
and Alice Springs. Overnight is at Coober Pedy - home to
80% of the world's opal production and a landscape a lot
like Mars. The locals live underground and so do we. Dinner
is some of the best pizza you will ever taste.
Time
permitting, we fit in an underground mine tour, and a detour
to see the amazing colours of the Breakaways.
Incredible
changing landscape, kangaroos, emus, eagles, road trains
and enough stops to keep you happy along the way. Relax
in air-conditioned comfort and settle into our deep reclining
seats as we cruise to your destination, arriving around
6.00pm.

of itinerary
DAY
1 Depart Alice Springs at 6.30AM (hostel pickups).
Travelling
south along the Stuart Highway. Erldunda for breakfast.
Marla for lunch. Arrive Coober Pedy, opal capital
of the world, around 4:30PM. Free town tour.
Time
out to explore before dinner. Overnight dugout accommodation
is included in your fare.
DAY 2 Back on the bitumen at 7:00AM. Breakfast at
Glendambo.
Lunch at Port Augusta. Rest stop at Port Wakefield,
arriving central bus station Adelaide at 6:00PM and
Glenelg town square at 6:30PM. Meals are not included.
There will be plenty of opportunities to buy your
own.
