The
Barossa Valley is Australia's most famous wine region. The
Groovy day begins travelling through the Adelaide Hills,
stopping at the World's Largest Rocking Horse and the amazing
Whispering Wall, and then on to our first winery Orlando,
home of Jacob's Creek.
This
is an extra special stop because only a small selection
of tour companies are permitted to come to this winery.
We spend approximately one hour in the Orlando Interpretive
Centre, going through the history of the Jacob's Creek brand,
followed by wine tasting and an educational presentation
that will set you up for your day of wine tasting in the
Barossa Valley.
After
visiting the Orlando Interpretive Centre we head into Tanunda,
an historical town in the Barossa Valley, where you will
have time to explore. Back on board, off to Richmond Grove.
While you are enjoying the wine from the cellar door, we
will be preparing a barbecue extravaganza including traditional
steak and chicken, along with an Aussie specialty of Kangaroo.
Vegetarians are not forgotten.
After
a 'Big Feed' we travel to Bethany Winery, then its up to
Menglers Hill lookout to admire the Barossa Valley views
before heading through to our fourth winery for our final
tasting.
