The Wilderness 4WD Adventures

Wilderness 4WD Adventures have been specializing in small group nature-based tours since 1990. Our tours are a well organised camping experience designed for fit active people ranging in age from 18-40 years and the tour programs are a pertfect balance of good information and fun for those who have a thirst for knowledge and a love for nature.

Let us show you the Top End of Australia - from Broome and the Kimberley Ranges, across to Katherine, Darwin, and the world famous Kakadu National Park. Come and explore the wild northern frontier including beautiful areas like Litchfield, the Bungle Bungle Ranges, and other hidden treasures accessible to those who travel with us.

Our tours involve a reasonable degree of bushwalking, swimming and rock climbing and are perfect for adventurous people. Wherever possible our aim is to "get away from the crowds" and take passengers into the more isolated areas of Australia's Northern Territory and the Kimberley region. We believe that customer satisfaction is extremely important and always receive positive feedback from people who have travelled on our tours.

We are confident that all of our guides have the ability to provide you with an enjoyable and exciting experience. If this sounds good to you and you want a perfect holiday, then take a tour with Wilderness 4WD Adventures.

3 Day Kakadu Green Season Adventure (3KA)

What a great time of the year to be heading to the tropical north and watching the Top End go throught it's most spectacular changes. The Top End has the most electrical activity in the world and at this time of the year you can watch awesome lightning storms as they travel across the sky.It is a time of plenty - the bush comes to life, floodplains begin to fill, vegetation turns lush green, the wildlife is active and the crowds have all gone. The rain also revitalises waterfalls that have been dry for 7 months creating new destinations to visit and places where you can swim.
It is too wet and humid to camp with tents so between December and March all groups enjoy the luxury of staying at dry, mosquito proof permanent camp with overnight accommodation in air-conditioned share rooms.
