Current June 2006 Accommodation Option- The Cooinda Lodge is a is a 2 ½-3 star property situated on the Yellow Waters Billabong.It offers 48 airconditioned lodge units, 34 twin share budget rooms, a 357 site camping ground. Later in 2006 this tour may revert to Kakadu Lodge.

Current Accommodation Option- Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge is set beside a monsoonal vine forest, and offers 15 deluxe units with private facilities. Deluxe The comfortable deluxe rooms are available in single, double, twin and triple configurations. Each room has access to private facilities. Bistro and there is a licensed bar. Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge gives visitors the opportunity to explore the Mary River Wetlands.

Suitability
Adventure Tours fitness info link Maximum Walks: Hikes up to 6-8kms per day. A reasonable level of fitness is required as there will be some walking to view places of interest. Suitable for soft adventures with a passion for bushwalking and exploring the wonders of Kakadu and Litchfield National parks.

Itinerary: Dry Season Program (From May/June to November - depending on seasonal conditions and park access)

Day 1 - Darwin to Mary River
See the falls of Litchfield National Park before heading to the spectacular Mary River Wetlands, home to a vast array of bird life. This afternoon look for ‘crocs’ and other abundant wildlife on our private river cruise. Arrive at Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation. (LD)

Day 2 - Mary River to Kakadu
Our first stop is Ubirr where we discover ancient Aboriginal rock art and climb to enjoy picturesque views. We continue on to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), where we hike to the plunge pools for a refreshing dip. Stay overnight at our overnight accommodation Motel or Lodge within Kakadu NP. (BLD)

Day 3 - Kakadu to Darwin
This morning we 4WD into the awesome Jim Jim Falls, hiking to the base of the falls then continue on to Twin Falls. Here we join a National Park operated boat and boardwalk experience up the stunning gorge to the waterfall and sandy bank. In the afternoon we return to Darwin, enjoying the impressive scenery along the way. (BL)

Notes:
* Itinerary may vary according to Traditional Owner & National Park requirements, seasonal conditions & the closure of Twin & Jim Jim Falls. Attractions will be substituted with others of interest
* Where accommodation is not available we reserve the right to use another property of similar or better quality.

* Park fee of $12.50 and Fuel Levy of $10 is payable on morning of departure.
